On May 22, 2019, the pedagogical seminar devoted to the 125th anniversary of Oleksander Dovzhenko took place in the reading room of the university library. The theme of the seminar was presenting the artist's image from various viewpoints: as a teacher, writer, artist, film director, talented and gifted person, as well as highlighting the peculiarities of studying the writer's creativity at the contemporary educational institutions. The seminar was organized by the teachers of the Department of Ukrainian Language, Literature and Teaching Methods of Oleksander Dovzhenko Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University (coordinators - candidates of pedagogical sciences, associate professors Tetyana Dyatlenko, Svitlana Pryvalova, Svitlana Tsyn’ko) together with departments of education of Hlukhiv town council, Hlukhiv district council, Shalyhino settlement council and Bereza village council.

The seminar was attended by teachers from various educational institutions of the town and district.

The guests of the seminar were greeted by the first vice-rector of Oleksandr Dovzhenko Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University, the candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor of the Ukrainian language department, literature and teaching methods Halyna Kuznetsova, who presented a unique graduation album of the academic group, in which Oleksander Dovzhenko studied, his certificate, and also emphasized on the peculiarities of the novice writer’s style, his inexhaustible potential for contemporary and future generations.

The seminar was completed by an exchange of impressions, thoughts on the prospects for the further research on the work of the famous writer, teacher, artist, director Oleksandr Dovzhenko. All the participants of the scientific and methodical seminar received certificates.

At the final stage of the workshop the awards were given to the winners of the All-Ukrainian Essay Contest devoted to the 125th anniversary of Oleksandr Dovzhenko.
