“War and peace in Ukraine” or “War for peace in Ukraine”. The participants and guests of the talk show "The Right to Word" tried to answer these questions, its first season was started on September 27 at the Philology and History department of Oleksandr Dovzhenko Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University.

The purpose of the talk show is to raise the culture of political communication of students and people of Hlukhiv, as there are now many dissenting thoughts on what is happening in our country: ATO, war, hybrid war, armed conflict, etc. Svitlana Maksymchuk-Makarenko who provided a lively discussion, asked questions and directed the general course of the event.

To resolve such difficult issues for us we had the jury consisting of the Candidate of historical sciences Vitaliy Kryzhanivsky; participant in combat operations of 93rd YSBB (defended Donetsk airport, Avdiyivka, Butovka mine and many other settlements), teacher of our university, People's Master of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine Ihor Bilevych; a representative of the public organization "Hlukhiv without corruption", a teacher of Hlukhiv vocational school Serhiy Yavorsky.

Experts on the talk show were the participant of combat operations 92 OIBR, active public figure Serhiy Mishchenko; editor-in-chief of the regional newspaper "Nedelya" Oksana Kovalenko; representative of the political party "Power of people" Viktor Hubenko and participant of the humanitarian project of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Evacuation 200", "Black Tulip", head of the research department of the national reserve "Hlukhiv" Yuriy Kovalenko.

After the event all the active citizens were able to join the fundraising for material assistance to the soldiers of the 15th battalion currently stationed in Luhans’k, as well as to laying flowers to the memorial of the Ukrainian Maydan fighting heroes.

Whatever painful the discussions are, whatever striking the statistics are, we realize that our country is absolutely peace loving but its people are ready to defend their native land. We believe in the inevitable positive changes in Ukraine in the nearest future when human life will become the highest sacred phenomenon of our life.
